Gentle Journal Prompts for Healing

Sometimes, we need a little help finding the words.

These journal prompts are here to gently guide you inward — not to fix anything, but to help you feel, reflect, and be present with yourself.

Try one today:

  • What do I need most right now — emotionally, physically, or spiritually?

  • What part of my story needs to be told — even if just to myself?

  • Where in my body do I feel tension, and what might it be trying to say?

Let your answers come slowly, softly, and honestly. This is your space to explore, not perform.

Exercise: The 5-Minute Intention Alignment

What You Need:

  • A quiet space

  • A journal or paper

  • Your favorite grounding drink (tea, infused water, or our Sweet Potato Lentil Curry if you're multitasking dinner!)

Steps:

  1. Breathe (1 min)
Close your eyes. Inhale deeply through your nose for 4 seconds. Hold for 4. Exhale slowly through your mouth for 6. Repeat this 3–5 times.

  2. Feel (1 min)
Scan your body from head to toe. Where are you holding tension? What feels open or alive? Just notice without judgment.

  3. Reflect (1 min)
Ask yourself: “What do I need today for my highest good?”
Write down the first word or phrase that comes to mind.

  4. Set Your Intention (1 min)
Create a sentence from your reflection. Example: “Today, I choose to move with kindness and clarity.”
    Speak it aloud.

  5. Anchor (1 min)
Take a sip of your drink. Visualize your intention settling in your body like warm sunlight. Feel yourself align with it.
